Fun With Ranch Dressing

Most people like Ranch Dressing on salads, or for dips for vegetables, etc.    Some people insist on making their own from scratch and some just like the 'traditional' bottled ranch dressing.   Whatever your preference, here's a few things you can do with Ranch Dressing.  It Ranch Dressingreally is quite versatile and the tricks you can do with it are yummy and fun.

Add things to Ranch Dressing for different kinds of salads and different uses.   For instance:

Add prepared salsa to Ranch for a Salsa-Ranch dressing.  It's great for a dip for tortilla chips or a green salad.

Add fresh chopped cilantro and fresh squeezed lime juice and lime zest to Ranch Dressing for a  Cilantro-Lime Ranch that is yummy served with fish...or on a salad.

Add Cayenne, Tony Chachere's Seasoning and/or Tabasco to Ranch Dressing for a Cajun Ranch and use it as a dip or warm it gently for a sauce.

Put a ripe avocado in the blender with Ranch Dressing for an Avocado-Ranch dressing for salads, dips or sauces.

How about a Wasabi Ranch!!   Whisk in a little powdered wasabi to taste.   Yummy as a dip or sauce.

Lemon Pepper Ranch......see, your imagination is working now!!

And here's one of my favorites:   Whisk in some taco seasoning  (like McCormick's for instance) and make a Taco-Ranch Dressing that is killer on salads or as a dip or even a topping for nacho's.

The big secret one the pizza chains don't want you to know about is this:   mix a little (or a lot) of finely minced fresh garlic into the Ranch dressing and use it as the white garlic sauce on pizza.     Yep, that's what they do.....and it's delicious.
